Thanksgiving Traditions

Each family has their traditions for each holiday. Since Thanksgiving is coming up here are some of the great traditions our family practices each year.

Deviled Eggs - Our family LOVES Deviled Eggs. It's a must-have. More important than the Turkey.

Spending the Day with my Dad's Family - we almost always spend Thanksgiving with my dad's family. Aunts, Uncles, Cousins... it's a big group. Occasionally we break tradition and go out of town but usually everyone comes together to eat and laugh.

Prepare for Black Friday - After all the food has been consumed and dishes washed the women sit around and devise our shopping strategy for Black Friday. Our plan always includes a trip to Target!

Do you have Thanksgiving traditions?

Thanksgiving

So yeah I know it's not for another month but Andrea and I were talking about the holidays today and I was thinking about all the holiday foods I DON'T like.

I don't like turkey, stuffing, sweet potato casserole, green bean casserole, cranberry sauce, or pumpkin pie. Basically your traditional Thanksgiving dinner.

However, if it was slightly modified to be a ham, rolls, baked sweet potatoes, sauteed garlic green beans, dried cranberries in a salad and chocolate moose pie... I'd be in heaven.

The two things that are typical at our family Thanksgiving that I do like are deviled eggs and squash casserole.
